The IBEW Local 163 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is dedicated to advancing the electrical construction industry in the Wilkes-Barre area by providing rigorous, industry-leading training for union electricians. Our mission is to cultivate a workforce that is not only highly skilled and technically proficient, but also professional, safety-oriented and prepared to meet the ever-evolving challenges of the electrical field.

Gold-Standard Registered Apprenticeship Program

Our Registered Apprenticeship Program goes far beyond technical instruction. We instill the values, work ethic and motivation essential for success in the unionized construction sector. By fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, we ensure that our apprentices develop into dependable, productive employees who are assets to our signatory contractors.

Lifelong Learning for Journeymen

At the IBEW Local 163 JATC, education does not end with apprenticeship.
