How much will the apprenticeship cost?
You are only responsible for purchasing your books before each school year and you keep these books after completing the program. There are no tuition or class fees. Apprentices are paid for their on-the-job training with their employer but are not paid while attending required classes.
Does the apprenticeship program enforce a drug-free policy?
Yes. All electrical apprentices are required to participate in annual substance abuse testing, which includes both scheduled and random tests. Violations of this policy result in strict penalties.
Can I use my veteran’s benefits for this training?
Yes. Veterans are eligible to use their benefits while enrolled in the apprenticeship program.
How long will I be an apprentice?
The apprenticeship program typically takes four years to complete. Apprentices attend class twice a week for three hours each night. Each year concludes with a hands-on and a written test. After completing each year, apprentices receive a pay increase.
